Cheerleading Techniques Academy Group Classes

Tumble #1 Class - Beginners (all ages)

Our Tumble #1 Group Class is a fun and focused one-hour session designed for beginners of all ages. In this small-group setting, athletes will build a strong foundation in tumbling by learning essential skills and techniques.

Whether you’re just starting or looking to refine your fundamentals, this class is the perfect place to begin your tumbling journey.

Skills taught in this class include (but are not limited to):

  • Forward rolls

  • Handstands

  • Cartwheels

  • Round-offs

  • Bridges

  • Backbends

  • Kickovers

Join us to gain confidence, improve coordination, and develop solid tumbling basics in a supportive and encouraging environment! To move onto the next level tumbling class (tumble #2), the athlete must be able to do all of the skills listed above!

Tumble #2 Class - Back Walkovers & Back Handpsprings (all ages)

Our Tumble #2 Group Class is a fun and focused one-hour session designed for athletes who have a solid base level of tumbling of all ages. In this small-group setting, athletes will learn how to do transition skills correctly. These skills are going to push these athletes to transition into higher-level skills. Skills taught in this class include (but are not limited to):

  • Back walkovers

  • Standing back handsprings

  • Cartwheel back walkovers

  • Back walkover switch leg

  • Cartwheel back handspring

  • Roundoff back handspring (& multiples)

  • Back handspring step-out

Join us to gain confidence, improve coordination, and develop solid tumbling basics in a supportive and encouraging environment! To move onto the next level tumbling class (tumble #3), the athlete must be able to do all of the skills listed above!

Tumble #3 Class - Tucks & Higher (all ages)

Our Tumble #3 Group Class is a fun and focused one-hour session designed for athletes who have a more experienced background in tumbling. This class is also designed for all ages. In this small-group setting, athletes will learn how to do more advanced skills correctly.

Skills taught in this class include (but are not limited to):

  • Standing tucks

  • Cartwheel tucks

  • Roundoff tucks

  • Roundoff back handspring tuck

  • Layout Skills

  • Toe touch back handspring

Introduction to Cheerleading (ages 6 years old & under)

Our Intro to Cheerleading class is the perfect starting point for young athletes who are new to the sport. Designed for beginners with little to no prior cheer experience, this small group class focuses on building a strong foundation in a fun and supportive environment.

Athletes will be introduced to key elements of cheerleading, including:

  • Basic motions and technique

  • Jumps and body control

  • Performance skills and showmanship

  • Voices in cheers/chants

  • How to do motions & jumps with counts.

This class is all about helping athletes develop confidence, coordination, and a solid understanding of cheer fundamentals—preparing them to advance in cheerleading wherever their journey takes them.

Jump, Stretch & Flex Class (all ages)

Our jumps, stretch and flex class is perfect for athletes wanting to improve their jumps! We will work on getting jumps higher, stronger, and using the correct technique. Our coaches will also teach the athletes some drills they can continue to do at home so they are able to get the results they want!

Strength, Endurance & Form Class

Introducing one of our newest and most essential classes at CTA! Strength & Flex is designed to help athletes build the strength, flexibility, and body awareness needed to elevate their tumbling and overall performance.

In this class, athletes will focus on:

  • Developing core and full-body strength

  • Improving flexibility and range of motion

  • Enhancing technique and proper form

We believe that strong, flexible, and well-conditioned athletes perform better, stay safer, and reach their goals faster. This class is all about helping athletes take care of their bodies and build a solid foundation for success in cheer, tumbling, and beyond.
